The\u00a0watercolor is visible by <a href=\"http:\/\/ettoreroeslerfranz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Risorgimento.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It depicts the passage of the King Victor Emmanuel II in the carriage as he\u00a0crosses via del Corso towards piazza del Popolo,\u00a0around\u00a0piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina, completely flooded\u00a0(note the boat on the right).\u00a0It was the 1st official visit to Rome by the King, 100 days after the seizure\u00a0of Porta Pia.<\/p>\n<p>This watercolor, however, was\u00a0executed by Ettore Roesler Franz only 13 years later,\u00a0in\u00a01883, as last preparatory sketch for a painting no longer completed. for viewing. &#8220;After inspection and deliberation, it was resolved to purchased three pictures&#8221;: the Ettore Roesler Franz watercolour was purchased for \u00a330 along with &#8216;A glimpse of the Clyde&#8217;
